iNova Technology Centre Upgrade

A significant milestone for iNova Pharmaceuticals is the multi-million dollar re-development of our manufacturing and laboratory facilities at Thornleigh, completed in 2006. The upgraded iNova Technology Centre contains state-of-the-art energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and processes, whilst enabling increased production and exports to Asia and other international markets. The upgraded site also gives iNova Pharmaceuticals more flexibility to switch between the products produced, which is important for meeting demand changes.

iNova Pharmaceuticals aims to meet Government and community needs through a process of innovation, customer focus and operational excellence, as we embark on growth activities that will benefit the Australian economy, exports and local employment.

iNova Site Facts

  • The iNova Thornleigh site is approximately 3 hectares in area and currently has 185 employees.
  • Since 1966, the site has been manufacturing and developing products for Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Asia-Pacific Region.
  • In addition to the iNova Technology Centre, the site is the iNova Pharmaceuticals Head Office for Asia-Pacific and Africa regions.
  • The site is licensed by the TGA for the manufacture of medicinal products and is also ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996 certified.
  • The iNova Technology Centre, on a per annum basis:
    • produces 350 million tablets
    • produces 1.5 million litres of liquid products
    • packages 11.5 million packs
    • exports 8 million packs to Africa, Asia and New Zealand
